El rey ha muerto

Ha muerto mi gran ídolo de la infancia. Cuando vino a México tenia muchas ganas de ir a verlo al Estadio Azteca, pero mis padres no me llevaron. Actualmente, ya con la posibilidad de ir a los conciertos que quiera, esperaba a que entre las mil fechas que Michael tendría en Inglaterra, anunciara por ahí su gira mundial y un eventual concierto en México.
El rey ha muerto, larga vida al rey.

Guilt Machine - On This Perfect Day

Hoy han anunciado varias cosas sobre Guilt Machine, el nuevo proyecto de Arjen Lucassen, que saldrá a finales de Agosto (primero Alemania, después el resto de Europa y los demás, aun sin fecha ‘oficial’).

La portada es de Christophe Dessaigne que casualmente, se encontraron en flickr. Y grata casualidad que es fan de Ayreon.

Habrá tres versiones del álbum:

Actualización: Un pajarito ya me contó de una banda que aun no esta confirmada oficialmente, pero que ya prácticamente es un hecho. No es Porcupine Tree, pero es una banda cuyo nombre alude a un animal prehistórico. Quizá esa banda sea la del anuncio del lunes.

‘The Incident’ el nuevo álbum de Porcupine Tree

Porcupine Tree ha anunciado el nombre y fecha de salida de su nuevo albúm.

Porcupine Tree are happy to announce the forthcoming release of their tenth studio album “The Incident“. The record is set to be released via Roadrunner Records worldwide on 21st September, as a double CD.

The centre-piece is the title track, which takes up the whole of the first disc. The 55-minute work is described as “a slightly surreal song cycle about beginnings and endings and the sense that ‘after this, things will never be the same again’.”

The self-produced album is completed by four standalone compositions that developed out of band writing sessions last December - Flicker, Bonnie The Cat, Black Dahlia, and Remember Me Lover feature on a separate EP length disc to stress their independence from the song cycle.

Video footage of the band in the studio working on The Incident, as well as audio previews, will be available online soon. The band will tour extensively to promote the album from mid September onwards.

Ya solo falta que confirmen alguna fecha en México
